Screed for Terraces and Roofs

ThermoLock Self-Levelling for Terraces

Screed for Terraces and Roofs

€35.00per bag

Leveling insulation layer for horizontal surfaces. Creates a lightweight, durable, waterproof base for the finish layer of occupied roofs. Resistant to mechanical loads and temperature fluctuations.

Intended Use: This product is a specialized composite self-leveling screed (waterproofing and plinth mortar) developed exclusively for horizontal surfaces. It is designed for comprehensive protection of open terraces, balconies, flat roofs, and other horizontal slabs exposed directly to extreme outdoor climate conditions such as rain, snow, hail, heat, and frost. The screed is applied directly to the rough structural concrete, delivering both perfect surface leveling and full insulation at the same time.

Composition: The screed is a dry mix in the form of a white granular powder, supplied in 25 kg kraft bags. It is based on a high-quality cement binder enriched with natural ultralight volcanic minerals—perlite and pumice. The product is 100% environmentally friendly (LEED green building certified) and contains no volatile carcinogenic compounds, toxic gases, polystyrene foam, or asbestos.

What It Delivers:

  • Absolute Waterproofing: The material creates a seamless monolithic barrier that completely seals the surface against water and moisture penetration.
  • Thermal and Acoustic Insulation: Prevents freezing of floor slabs and eliminates thermal bridges through its continuous structure. It also absorbs impact and airborne noise up to 27 dB.
  • Vapor Permeability (Mold Protection): Despite its strong water-repellent properties, the screed has high diffusion capacity. It allows the concrete substrate to breathe, fully eliminating the risk of hidden condensation, fungus, and bacteria even under extreme temperature fluctuations.
  • Fire Protection: The material belongs to the highest A1 non-combustibility class, withstanding temperatures above 1000°C and blocking the spread of fire across the roof or floor slabs.
  • Base for Heavy Finishes: High compressive strength makes it possible to install heavy ceramic tile, porcelain stoneware, or marble over the screed just 48 hours after drying, without the risk of settlement or deformation.

Application Characteristics and Features: Using this product dramatically reduces construction time and cost because it replaces several stages (rough screed and roll/polymer waterproofing and insulation installation) with a single applied layer. Thanks to its cement binder, the screed has expansion and contraction coefficients similar to concrete, ensuring durability throughout the entire service life of the building itself. It can be applied either manually with a steel trowel or mechanically by machine.

Combustibility class: A1 (fully non-combustible, withstands over 1000°C)
